From Amelia Murray’s testimony at the September 8 All-Church Baptism Celebration:

My Story

My name is Amelia Murray, and I’m nine years old.

When I was three-and-a-half, my dad and I were watching the JESUS film. After I saw how Jesus lived and died to wash away my sins on the cross, I decided that I wanted to make Jesus the Lord of my life. I asked my dad if I could pray to receive Jesus into my heart. We prayed right there on the ottoman.

Now that I’m a follower of Jesus, I try to show God’s love in all my ways. I love to have conversations with friends at school about what it means to be a Christian.

I’m here tonight to tell the world that Jesus died and rose again to save me from my sins.
